Jillan Campos

Education and Outreach Coordinator

Jillian Campos is a 26 year old theatre artist with a strong passion for her community. Jillian found her passion for theatre in high school and found direction and life long purpose in the arts with the help of her teachers. Because of this, Jillian went to Texas State University and received her BFA in theatre with a teaching certification so she can impact the lives of students in the same way she was. Jillian started her teaching career in 2020 at Tafolla Middle School at the height of the COVID19 pandemic. In this position she was met with many challenges both for herself and her students. This sparked something in her and decided that helping this community full of bright and talented artists that are underfunded and underappreciated, and others like it, would be her life mission.

As of now, Jillian is working at Scobee Middle School where she has build a strong theatre program with deep roots in the community and culture of her school. She is currently working towards beginning her masters in non profit management at John Hopkins University.

With this degree, Jillina hopes to start on a non profit on the west side of San Antonio that focuses on social emotional education through the arts. Jillian is excited to step into this role at Teatro Audaz in helping the community through education and outreach!
