Mojada

Mojada by Luis Alfaro and directed by Laura T. Garza and Associate Director: Jillian Campos

Inspired by Euripides’ Medea, Mojada is a powerful and heart-wrenching reimagining of the Greek tragedy, set in modern-day America. Luis Alfaro masterfully blends ancient myth with contemporary struggles, telling the story of an immigrant family’s journey to the United States and the sacrifices they must make to survive.

Through this production, we continue our mission of reclaiming and reshaping classic stories to reflect the realities of our community. Mojada speaks to themes of displacement, resilience, and the cost of the American Dream—all through the lens of a Latina protagonist fighting for her family’s future.

This play is raw, emotional, and deeply relevant, and we are honored to bring it to the stage in December 2025.

More details coming soon.
