Theatre Production / Arts Management Internship

Teatro Audaz San Antonio is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for passionate individuals
to join our team as a PAID intern for a 10-week assignment.
This internship program provides hands-on experience and mentorship in theatre production, arts administration, and community engagement within a non-profit organization that promotes latinx culture through the arts.
Assignment Begins: On or around June 2, 2025
Assignment Ends: No earlier than August 8, 2025
STUDENT ELIGIBILITY:
Students who are currently enrolled as undergraduate college students who are Bexar County residents. As long as the student is a resident of Bexar County and able to show proof of the same.
The college or University is not required to be in Bexar County.
Students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher are not eligible.
*Residency means the location where the student lives.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with program planning:
Support the program coordinator and artistic team in the planning and executing of theater programs and events.
2. Marketing and Promotion:
Contribute to developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our theater programs effectively, including social media campaigns, email newsletters, and community outreach efforts.
3. Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, answering phones, and coordinating meetings and events.
4. Artist and Volunteer Coordination:
Assist in recruiting, scheduling, and communicating with theater artists , volunteers, and interns involved in our programs.
5. Event logistics:
Assist with logistical tasks related to rehearsals, performances, and special events, such as venue setup, ticketing, and hospitality.
6. Community Engagement:
Participate in outreach activities to engage with local Latinx communities, theater groups, schools, and other stakeholders to promote participation in our programs and events.
7. Production Support:
Participate in an essential and /or supportive role within that of the production teams for any and all productions within the 10 week timeframe of the internship assignment. Can include, but not limited to: front of house staff, light or sound board operator, backstage running crew, or possibly any other area of design based on the candidates strengths, knowledge, and skill level.
Qualifications:
-Must be an undergraduate student and eligible based on Bexar County residency
- Must not already have earned an undergraduate degree or higher.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment,
- Proficiency in Adobe, Canva, all social media platforms, and Google Drives.
- Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
- Must be comfortable climbing a ladder
- Must have basic knowledge of Theatre productions and some experience in one or more areas of Technical Theatre, such as:
Lighting
Sound
Costumes
Hair & Make-up
Scenic Construction / Painting
Prop-building
Theatre Production / Arts Management Intern will support key initiatives such as audience engagement, social media outreach, and event coordination, particularly our upcoming Festival Audaz and Season 9 Productions.
They will also play a vital role in the technical and logistical execution of productions, assisting with set design, lighting, sound, and stage management.
